Causes For Joint and Muscle Pain
Causes for joint and muscle pain can be varied. The first thing people think of though is arthritis. Arthritis may be the cause for chronic muscle and joint pain, however it could also be more likely Systematic Lupus Erythematosus.
What about arthritis? Most types of arthritis cause joint pain, however fibromyalgia is a type of arthritis that can and will cause joint and muscle pain. There is not a cause that has been found for fibromyalgia. The theories behind fibromyalgia's causes include sleep disturbances, chemicals in the brain are out of balance, and sensitive nerve cells.
Other symptoms that accompany joint and muscle pain include fatigue, sleep problems, morning stiffness, headaches, constipation, problems with memory or concentration, constipation or diarrhea, and anxiety and depression.
What about Systematic Lupus Erythematosus? The muscle and joint pain is caused by inflammation of the joints and muscles. The symptoms resemble flu symptoms. They also resemble arthritis as the joints ache and become swollen and tender. The inflammation can become so intense that there can be loss of strength. Rest and exercise at the right levels can help.
However, those with Systematic Lupus Erythematosus have to be very careful when they are doing physical activity so as not to put too much stress on the muscles and joints that are already affected. The most common parts of the body to be affected are the hips, shoulders, and knees. Patients with extra weight adds to the pain from Systematic Lupus Erythematosus.
It is important to consult a doctor if you are having joint and muscle pain. The doctor can do tests in order to figure out exactly what is causing the pain. Above I have explained two diseases that are causes for joint and muscle pain. Fibromyalgia and Systematic Lupus Erythemastosus, however, are not the only causes of joint and muscle pain.
Once your doctor figures out what the causes are for your pains, he or she can then figure out a treatment plan. Some causes can be cured, while some may not be able to be cured, however, there is relief from them.
