Pain In Jaw and Ear Joint - What Could Cause It?

What could be causing pain in jaw and ear joint? Many things can cause pain in these two specific places. One major cause of joint pain, though is arthritis. Arthritis is not a very specific answer though. There are many, many types of arthritis. The specific ones that are most likely to cause pain in the jaw and ear joint are fibromyalgia, and rheumatoid arthritis. Let us discuss these three types so you can understand how these affect your joints and how they can create pain in joints such as the jaw and ear.

We will begin with fibromyalgia. This type of arthritis is associated with aching and pain in muscles, tendons and joints. All muscles, tendons and joints can be affected. There are many tender spots with this disease. These are tender to major air pressure as well as any other type of pressure. The cause for this type of arthritis has not yet been identified, though there are theories as to the cause. One theory is that disordered sleep patterns are the cause.

Another theory is that there is an abnormal production of pain-related chemicals in the nervous system. A third theory is that there is a lower level of growth hormones. Other symptoms that accompany the pain are sleep disturbance, depression, daytime tiredness, headaches, alternating diarrhea and constipation, numbness and tingling in hands and feet, weakness, difficulty with memory, and dizziness.

Now let's discuss rheumatoid arthritis. This type of arthritis also can affect any joint in the body. The symptoms associated with this disease are joint pain and swelling, stiffness and fatigue. They have not figured out the precise cause of this disease either.

It is believed, though, that genetics as well as environmental and hormonal factors play a major role in the cause. With this disease, the body sends extra cells to the joints and the joints become inflamed. Due to the inflammation and extra cells the cartilage wears down and the joints become very painful. This disease is not limited to adults. Pediatric patients have also been diagnosed with it.

As you can see fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis are characterized by joint pain. The cause has not completely been determined for either disease. Pain in jaw and ear joint that is due to either of these may be helped by glyconutrients. Glyconutrients are sugars that are supposed to be healing. Also, in order to reduce the pain prednisone or another anti-inflammatory may help.
